Facilities

Saltworks' seafront facilities include engineering-design offices, fully-outfitted bench test stations, labs, pilots and manufacturing. Our fully permitted pilot site can process seawater 24-7 or accept multiple 50,000 litre shipments of your water for rapid testing. After a full chemistry, engineering, and bench test review we can test your water in our automated 50 m3/day (10 gpm) pilots, which include:

• Pretreatment with complete suite of options: clarification, flotation, media, microfiltration, ultrafiltration, and UV.
• Reverse osmosis and nanofiltration based around 8" elements.
• ElectroChem ion exchange membrane and stack system for chemical free softening, reverse osmosis recovery enhancement, brine concentration, or advanced separations of specific species.
• SaltMaker for treatment of highly impaired waters or saline brines to produce freshwater and solid salt.
  
  

Engagement Process

At Saltworks we understand that successful customer projects require a clear understanding of the fundamentals and methodical scale-up. Our engagement process delivers value and minimizes risk at each step:

Desktop: Preliminary review of your project, chemistry, and objectives to determine if our solutions can help.

Feasibility: Rapidly confirm expected performance and cost through our bench testing program.

Pilot: Deploy one of our Micro Pilot units (up to 1 m3/day or 10 gph) to prove on-site performance, demonstrate results, and build familiarity. We can also deliver larger turn-key pilot systems with capacity of 10-50 m3/day (2-10 gpm) for extended trials and performance mapping.

Scale-up: Supply design packages and core modules, customer direct or to Engineering Procurement Construction firms.
